1976 MSA Disc Advertisement Set
Description:
The MSA disc set features discs that are 3 3/8” in diameter. This 20 disc MSA (Mike Schechter Associates, Inc.) set is the rarest of all the MSA basketball sets. It displays black and white portrait art by Charles Linnett, the NBA Players Association logo,and a facsimile signature of the player. Each color border shows the player height, weight, college, and NBA career years. They say “National Basketball Players Association" and include the year on the border as well. The back of the disc is an advertisement for Mike Schechter Associates, Inc. and the "Customized Sports Discs" that MSA produced. This set is their sales demo/example. MSA produced a variety of sports discs and used Gugler Lithographic Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as their manufacturer.
