Hartford YMCA Rules and Schedule - 1895
Description:
This small pocket type booklet is only 7 pages long. It is from late 1894 or January 1895 and contains the official 1895 "Basket Ball" rules and the Hartford YMCA team schedule. Inside the booklet, they thank Luther Gulick for providing permission to let them print the rules! The back of the booklet is really cool too. They instruct people not to "hiss" during the game! This is the oldest example of an all-basketball, multi-page schedule I have seen. If you have older, please let me know.
